Privacy Policy
Effective August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lantern Biblical Guidance ("Lantern," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Lantern mobile application and lanternbiblicalguidance.com.
Information you choose to provide
Lantern is designed around questions, situations, and reflections that you choose to enter. Content you submit through app features may be processed as necessary to provide the feature you requested, such as connecting a situation with relevant Scripture, reflection, prayer, or practical next steps.
If you contact us for support or feedback, we may receive information such as your email address, the content of your message, device or app-version information you choose to provide, and any other information you include in the request.
Technical information
The app, website, hosting providers, operating systems, or service providers may generate limited technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service. This can include information such as device or browser type, operating-system version, app version, approximate request time, diagnostic information, and network information.
How information is used
We may use information to provide and maintain Lantern, respond to support requests, diagnose technical problems, protect the service from abuse or security threats, improve product quality and usability, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Service providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate parts of Lantern, including infrastructure, hosting, communications, diagnostics, and technology used to deliver app functionality. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to their applicable contractual and legal obligations.
Sensitive information
Because users may ask about personal circumstances, please use discretion about the information you enter into Lantern. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or other information that is not necessary to receive biblical guidance.
Children
Lantern is not intended to be used to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that requires deletion, contact us using the information below.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to operational, security, legal, and recordkeeping requirements. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with you. Some information may be retained when required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
